About Laura
Sun and swimming have given Laura the look she has: 169 cm, athletic, with long, sun-kissed light brown hair that the summer has lifted further at the ends, and green eyes that do the smiling before her mouth does. She is not a fragile presence. She shakes hands properly, sits down without fuss, and wears things she can move in, usually a simple dress and a jacket she takes off within ten minutes of arriving.

Paddington is where she lives, which puts Langley roughly forty minutes off on the Elizabeth line and eight more on foot from the platform.

An evening with Laura
Ditton Road is not a destination and Laura does not pretend otherwise. What it is, is convenient: junction 5 is a minute away, the airport is fifteen, and Slough town centre is about the same in the other direction. So the evening is usually built in two halves. First the hotel, a drink, the unpacking of whatever the day has been. Then a short run out to a proper table, or, just as often, staying exactly where you are because the alternative involves a car and neither of you wants one. She is good at making the second option feel like a choice rather than a surrender. She is warm, straightforward and wholly unbothered by a view of the M4.
