About Liana
Liana is precise about most things and she is not apologetic about it. She is 167 cm and slim, with long chestnut brown hair worn straight and brown eyes that hold a look a beat longer than you expect. She dresses in a narrow palette, mostly dark, always well cut, and she has one coat she wears for everything because she thinks owning four would be silly.
Late twenties, English, dry and observant. She notices what other people miss: the accent, the wedding photograph on the desk, the fact that you have said the word fine three times. She is not intrusive with any of it. She reads, she cooks properly, and she has a low tolerance for anybody who talks loudly about wine. Her favourite part of this patch is Langley Park, the country park just north of the village, where the avenues of trees run for longer than seems reasonable for somewhere fifteen minutes from a runway. She lives in Marylebone, comes out on the Elizabeth line, and is straightforward about the fact that Langley is a car ride from anywhere with a kitchen worth sitting in.

An evening with Liana
Start early and the park is the best hour of it. Liana walks fast and talks the whole way, and the avenue at Langley Park does something to a conversation that a hotel bar cannot manage. After that you drive, because that is what this corner requires, and she has a short list of places within fifteen minutes that are still properly good. Dinner with her is unhurried and quite funny. She has a talent for the small, exact observation that makes you laugh an hour later. Back at the hotel she is affectionate and entirely unhurried, and when the evening ends she says so plainly rather than drifting towards the door. Nobody has ever had to guess what Liana was thinking.
