About Tina
At 158 cm Tina is the smallest woman on this desk and comfortably the quickest. Athletic build, long espresso brown hair usually worn up until the evening proper starts, brown eyes that miss very little. She dresses for movement: a simple dress, a jacket, and trainers in her bag on the assumption that at some point she will want to walk somewhere rather than wait for a car.
Mid twenties, English, energetic and direct. She runs, she climbs, she is slightly evangelical about both, and she will drop the subject the moment you look bored. She is a very good listener underneath the energy, and she has a habit of asking one blunt question early that gets an evening past the small talk in about four minutes flat. She is blunt without ever being rude, and she laughs at herself more than at anybody else. Guests who booked expecting a quiet evening tend to get a better one.
Her favourite hour in Slough is spent in Herschel Park, the Victorian gardens behind Windsor Road, which almost nobody staying in the town centre knows is there. It is eight minutes on foot from the station and it changes what you think of the place. Her own flat is in Covent Garden, a bit over half an hour off once the Elizabeth line has done the work, and she will usually walk in from the platform rather than take the short ride.

An evening with Tina
The park is the surprise and she enjoys springing it. Eight minutes from the station there are Victorian gardens, a lake and a heronry, and the noise of the town drops away inside thirty seconds. Tina walks fast, talks faster, and has usually got your week out of you before the first lap is finished. Then dinner in town, somewhere unfussy, where she eats properly and keeps the conversation moving. She is quick, warm and refreshingly unimpressed by anything grand, and she has a knack for making a town that people are rude about feel like a decent place to spend a night. Afterwards it is a short walk back, or a five minute ride if the weather has ruined the idea.

02Walk or car?
Walk, if the distance is under a mile and it is not raining sideways. Slough is far more walkable than its reputation.
03What do you do on a free morning here?
Run the towpath towards Windsor. It is flat, it is quiet, and you finish underneath a castle, which is hard to beat.
