About Samanta
Samanta is the calmest person in most rooms she walks into, and it is not a technique. She is 174 cm and slim, long dark brown hair worn straight, brown eyes that settle rather than dart. She dresses cleanly and plainly, a good dark dress and flat shoes more often than not, and she has an instinct for turning up looking appropriate to the room rather than to the photograph.
Late twenties, English, self contained and warm underneath it. She does not fill silence, which some people find unnerving for the first ten minutes and everybody appreciates by the end. She asks careful questions and remembers the answers. She swims, she walks a lot, and she has a dry way of describing the towns she works in that is affectionate rather than superior. Her Slough evenings usually run from the hotel on Church Street in Chalvey, which is three minutes off the A4 and about six from the station, a plain hotel used mostly by people here for two nights and a meeting. She likes the straightforwardness of it. Home for her is Mayfair, and she comes out on the Elizabeth line, a little over half an hour to Slough, then a short ride west.

An evening with Samanta
Chalvey is a five minute walk from the middle of Slough and feels further, which suits an evening that is meant to be quiet. Samanta comes to the hotel, and the first half hour is genuinely unhurried: a drink, the day taken apart, no pressure to be entertaining. Dinner is either in the building or a short ride into town, and she will tell you which is the better bet that night rather than defaulting to whichever is easier. She is a good listener and a patient one, and she has a way of making a plain hotel room feel like somewhere you chose. When the evening finishes she leaves without any of the drawn out business that spoils the end of a night.
