There is something genuinely restful about a business park at nine at night, and Sonya has built an evening around it. The hotel is on Stockley Road with the golf course behind and the office blocks dark in front, and once the day has gone home the whole place belongs to about forty people. She arrives on time, sits down, and starts asking real questions almost immediately. Dinner is usually in the building, because the alternatives from here are ten minutes away in three different directions and none of them is worth the car. Later it is quiet, unhurried and entirely private. She is warm without being soft, and she has a way of making a working week feel finished.

If you are working at Stockley Park, yes. Twenty minutes to Paddington and ten to the terminals is a better position than most people realise.
